What Are Diamond Grillz?
Diamond grillz teeth are a staple of the hip-hop and fashion industries. The most popular and standard diamond grillz options use round stones set throughout the surface of the tooth, giving you a completely iced-out set.
But at Luxe Grillz, you get even more. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality products and a luxury experience. We use only the best of the best in our manufacturing process, and we work with a renowned third-party appraiser who certifies all of our finished diamond teeth.
What Are Iced-Out Teeth?
When we talk about icing out our mouthpieces, we’re talking about grillz that are completely covered with natural diamonds. At Luxe Grillz, we spare no expense when we make these diamond teeth. We typically use anywhere from 65 to 90 diamonds in each tooth that we set (depending on the size of your teeth), totaling around 1.0 diamond carats per tooth. Be careful about shopping with unreliable grillz manufacturers who are offering iced-out options at really cheap prices because it is likely that they are using fake or lab-made diamonds to cut costs. While we also offer lab-made options, you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting from our diamond grillz.
How Much Are Diamond Grillz?
The price of diamond grillz varies depending on the quality, size, and amount of stones you use for your grillz. At Luxe Grillz, we use both natural diamonds and lab-made diamonds when making all of our custom diamond teeth sets to suit your budget and style preference. When considering natural diamonds for your custom set, the price will vary depending on the clarity and color of the stone. For example, VS+ G-Color diamonds start at around $675 per carat, while VVS D-Color diamonds start at around $900 per carat.
In addition to the market cost of the diamonds, we also consider the cost of setting the diamonds, making the grillz, and the cost of the gold when pricing out our products. If you’re looking for more affordable diamond grillz teeth, take a look at our sets under $2,500 here!
Frequently Asked Questions
What are real diamond grillz?
Real diamond grillz teeth are iced-out teeth sets made using natural diamonds. Natural diamonds are made by the earth’s pressure, at least 85 miles under the earth’s mantle. It takes anywhere from one to three billion years to make a natural diamond, and once it has been created in these underground conditions, it travels via molten lava to an area where it is eventually excavated and transformed into the high-quality diamonds you see used in jewelry today.
As you can tell, this naturally occurring process is impossible to replicate, making these natural diamonds very valuable.
How do you determine the price of diamond grillz?
The pricing of diamond teeth may fluctuate based on a number of factors, primarily the number of teeth in your custom mouthpiece, the diamond clarity and quality, and the number of stones being set in the total piece.
As such, an eight-tooth diamond grillz piece will be substantially more expensive than a single-tooth or triple diamond set. However, when you purchase an eight-tooth grillz, the price per tooth will likely be less than if you were to just purchase a single diamond tooth. The reason for this is that you are receiving a “bulk” order and a discounted price. Also, when you have eight diamond teeth connecting, we generally use fewer stones than eight single teeth covered with diamonds.
Additionally, there is also a fluctuation in the cost of diamond grillz teeth if you choose to have the grillz made with high-quality VS/VVS diamonds compared with low-quality diamonds or artificial lab-grown diamonds. For this reason, it’s imperative for you to shop with a reliable grillz business that offers full transparency. Otherwise, you may purchase a piece with artificial stones, thinking they’re authentic natural diamonds.
Another variant determining the price of diamond grillz is how many diamonds we use in each tooth. Some manufacturers cut corners and save money by strategically setting as few stones as possible. While these are still diamond grillz, the quality of the finished piece is nowhere near as nice as when you shop with a high-end grillz manufacturer like Luxe Grillz.
What different grillz diamond clarity options are available?
There are a couple of different clarity options that we use to make diamond grillz teeth with natural diamonds. We typically recommend diamond teeth made using brilliant-cut natural SI G-Color diamonds. The other higher-quality diamonds we offer are natural VS+ stones and natural VVS stones. Since the diamonds used to make iced-out grillz are so small (about 1.2mm in diameter), you won’t see any inclusions, so it’s not as important to use VVS-clarity diamonds.
What shapes of iced-out grillz are available?
At Luxe Grillz, we use natural round diamonds for the majority of our diamond grillz teeth because we’re trying to fit as many stones as possible onto each tooth for a flooded look. However, if you want to create something a little more unique, we do offer other diamond shapes, like princess cut, oval, and marquis cut. With these shapes, you will see a little more of the gold grillz base than with completely round diamonds.
Can I get permanent diamond teeth?
While we don’t recommend permanently glued diamond teeth for hygiene reasons, we do offer the option for our single-tooth sets. You can take your diamond caps to a dentist for gluing or do the work yourself.

How are diamond grillz made?
Making our grillz is a multi-step process that involves you, as well as some of the top experts in the dentistry and jewelry industry. First, we take a mold of your teeth at our LA office (we also send mold kits out to you if you prefer to complete this process at home). Next, we make a cement version of your molds, covering them with wax to perfectly fit the grillz base.
When we’re happy with the wax positioning, thickness, and look, we place the mold into a furnace to replace the wax with gold over the course of 24 hours. Once cast, we send the gold base to you for a final fitting. With your approval, we then hand-set each diamond into the base. Polishing and finishing touches are next before we send the set for appraisal. Within 10 days, everything is ready and we send your diamond grillz out to you for delivery.
